Done and Done

I’m back. The Internet in Indiana was as bad as I feared (except for the oases at Mac’s restaurant [of the buy-one-get-one-free-pulled-pork-sandwich] and my brother-in-law’s), so I haven’t updated the site in a while. We actually got back a week ago, but then I immediately boarded a flight to Boston for the American Political Science Association convention, so no update then, either.

APSA was interesting, per usual. I went to the last part of the PolCom preconference, as well, which is increasingly one of my favorite parts of the conference. We’re still in limbo about this year’s MassComm hire (thank you California budget crisis), so I was trying to keep an eye out for new talent, too. Lots of feedback on both the papers I was presenting and from Princeton on the book manuscript, so revisions will be coming down the pike soon. I didn’t get to see as much of the UCSD gang this time around (the reception conflicted with the Pol Com/Pol Psych/Pub Opinion and Voting reception), nor did I get to follow up on some other matters with other people. I did get my lobster bisque, though (eventually) and caught up with some other people I hadn’t seen in a while.
