I’m still slogging through the quarter (and still waiting for the final bureaucratic word from the university regarding tenure), but I thought I’d share one of the results of my daughter’s research. She was trying to predict which car color was the most popular in the U.S. using several different measures. DuPont tracks this data through car sales and releases an annual report, which is shown above. Below are the results of counting the color of cars parked at a suburban LA Target store. Pretty cool. Random sampling for the win.
