Monster-Sized Celebration
I’m back from Boston, where When Politicians Attack was awarded a Goldsmith book prize, which honors “the best academic and best trade books that seek to improve the quality of government or politics through an examination of press and politics in the formation of public policy.” I’m honored to be included in the same breath with all the outstanding scholars who have previously won it, including John Geer, Diana Mutz, James Stimson, Dan Hallin, Scott Althaus, Doris Graber, Bob Entman, Larry Jacobs, Robert Shapiro, James Hamilton, Stephen Ansolabehere, Shanto Iyengar, and Cass R. Sunstein, among other outstanding scholars. As you can tell from my photo, I was thrilled.
