APSA 2011: Seattle

Had a great trip to Seattle for the annual APSA convention (and the Political Communication preconference, which is increasingly one of my favorite annual events). I presented my and Matt’s Afghanistan piece, which seemed to go over well. I was able to go to most of the essential group meetings (but had to skip the UCSD and UCLA receptions because of the Cambridge awards dinner), and had some good arranged and serendipitous chats. Since I was at the conference longer than normal (presented the first session of the preconference; discussed on the second-to-last panel of the regular conference) I also did more sightseeing than normal, as reflected in not one, but TWO photo galleries (here and here).
